What we use
We use account and sign-in details, pack membership, pet details, active-walk location, route and wee-mail information, device notification details, and the preferences needed to operate WeeQuest. Completed workouts can be added to Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android only with your permission.
Health and fitness export
You choose whether completed WeeQuests are automatically exported in Health and fitness settings. Workouts, distance and exercise routes are written to the device health service only when the relevant permissions are granted. The Android integration does not request permission to read other apps' health records. Turning off automatic export stops future exports; you can also revoke permissions and manage previously exported records in Apple Health or Health Connect. Health records are not sent to advertisers or used to select ads.
What other players see
Your user identity is never public. Published territory may show your pack name, pack image, pets, score and generalised territory cells. Exact wee-mail locations appear only after a WeeQuest is finalised, with a message generated from the selected pet name or anonymous dog wording. Users cannot attach free-text messages. Live routes, precise timestamps and the identity of the walker are not published.
Your controls
You can keep a WeeQuest private, choose immediate publication after finalisation or a random delay of four to eight hours, manage notifications, review advertising privacy choices, and request account deletion.
Maps and map privacy
Mapbox supplies WeeQuest's maps. Map requests use technical information to deliver the map, and Mapbox's mobile SDK includes location and usage telemetry to improve its maps and services. Mapbox describes this telemetry as de-identified; it is separate from WeeQuest's territory publication and advertising choices. Keeping a WeeQuest private controls what other players can see, but does not itself turn off Mapbox telemetry.
To review or turn off Mapbox telemetry, open the information/attribution button on the map and use its telemetry privacy choice. This is separate from Apple's tracking permission and Google's advertising privacy choices. Turning off telemetry does not turn off the location permission needed to record a walk. Map requests are still needed to display maps.

Services behind WeeQuest
WeeQuest uses service providers for sign-in and account storage, email, notifications, maps and advertising. These services process the information needed to provide their part of the app, and may process technical usage and diagnostic information. Our main providers include Supabase for account and app data, Cloudflare for API delivery, Resend for sign-in email, Firebase for push notifications, Mapbox for maps, and Google for advertising and its privacy choices. Advertising has the separate choices explained below. Optional pet and pack photographs stay on your device; selected cartoon avatar information can be shared with your pack and shown on published territory and wee-mails.
How advertising pays for WeeQuest
Ads help pay for maps, notifications and the online services behind packs and territory. WeeQuest never sells your private WeeQuest data. We do not provide your account details, precise location, routes, wee-mails, Health or fitness information, packs, pets or territory activity to Google or advertisers to choose ads.
More relevant or generic ads
If you allow Apple's tracking permission and the applicable advertising consent choices, Google and participating advertising partners may process an advertising identifier, IP address, technical device and app information, ads you see or interact with, and activity from other companies' apps and websites to choose and measure more relevant ads.
If you do not allow tracking, WeeQuest explicitly requests non-personalised ads. These generic ads are not selected from your activity across other companies' apps and websites. Google and participating advertising providers may still process basic technical information such as your IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions to deliver and secure ads, limit repetition and produce aggregated measurements. Where advertising consent is required and not given, Google may show limited ads or no ad. Your choice never removes WeeQuest features.
We use Google's User Messaging Platform to present applicable choices and provide a Privacy choices entry in the app when required. You can learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
